Our most viewed blog series is getting back. But at first, lets settle for a minute…(or a few years later)…

It was 2020 back when the last blog article posted here regarding the track spec Civic EK. A long time build series which was loved from many enthousiasts around the world.  That’s a stat shown on our system as we see our past articles getting views constantly . For some people it became a vision of their own build, a guide of HOW TO, the articles that had the power to express what it takes to perform and get improved on the race track with a Civic Ek.
Lap times are just a number that confirm your success. Consistent, repeatable results provide a clear road map to where the improvements should be made. Remove any variables caused by failing or under-performing components and it gets much easier to predict the results of your adjustments.
Trial error is our friend and it took a few years to understand that’s something that we have to accept its going to happen occasionally. There is no specific way, the is no specific setup , is all about balance. A balance between power, grip and handling. Now bring a driver with a good amount of seat time and you are good to go.

For the civic on our series, there was a long time of settle not because of anything more than the fact that it had given its glory to another project that we are going to talk about at the near future. A fun ride of another trackday car indeed made us all get rid of the FWD action for a while and we mess with the RWD. We gone way TOO deep with this new project. Believe us.

We got questioned often, where the civic is. Was is broken, was it sold, was it replaced with something else. Well yes somehow it was replaced with a new project car as we wrote above but nothing actually gone wrong with it.
It’s still here, pretty much as it was and desperately asking us to bring it back to life. Bring back the old glory days of pure race track action.

Engine wise, still K20 probably a bit more powerful than previous setup
Drivetrain mostly same
Steering system is now with short gear ratio and still under development
5lug wheel conversion took place
A new outfit is going to happen very soon with a new look and in a way of more front end aero improvements

What we are into with the return of this build series? Obviously to improve lap time and perform even better on our beloved race track. Serres Racing Circuit
The is no way to know if something is going to perform correctly without testing it. So talking and thinking this way means that way may face issues that could potentially set us off pace.
We are anxious to see what we are going to face. Don’t you too???
