Factory clutch master cylinders on newer chassis (like the 8th/9th Gen Civic and RSX) feature an internal dampener that restricts fluid flow. When driving aggressively or running an upgraded heavy-duty clutch, this factory design cannot transfer fluid fast enough, causing the clutch to slip or the gears to grind since the clutch disk hasn’t fully disengaged.
