The K20A2 EP3 Oil Pump Kit is a complete oil pump conversion package for Honda K-series engines, commonly used on K20Z4 FN2 Civic Type R and K24 performance applications.

This kit is based on the K20A2 oil pump setup, which removes the factory balance shaft style oil pump arrangement found on engines such as the FN2 K20Z4 and many K24 applications. For tuned, high-revving or track-focused builds, the K20A2 oil pump conversion is a popular upgrade because it reduces unnecessary rotating mass, lowers parasitic drag and provides a simpler, more performance-oriented oil pump system.

On the FN2 Civic Type R K20Z4, this conversion is used to replace the original balance shaft oil pump setup. This helps the engine rev more freely and is especially useful for cars used in fast road, trackday or naturally aspirated performance builds.

On K24 applications, the K20A2 oil pump conversion is often required when building a high-revving K24 setup. The factory K24 balance shaft oil pump system is not ideal for sustained high RPM use, so converting to the K20A2 style pump is a common solution for improved reliability, better oil control and reduced rotating drag.

The included baffle plate helps improve oil control inside the sump, keeping oil around the pickup during hard acceleration, braking and cornering. This makes the kit a practical upgrade for engines used in performance driving conditions.
