GiroDisc Titanium Backing Plate Kit – Infiniti G35 Coupe / Nissan 350Z, 350Z Roadster, Skyline GT-R & others / Subaru Impreza WRX STi, Impreza RB320, Impreza WRX STi Cosworth & others
This Titanium backing plate kit consist of 4 plates, that help to
prevent brake fluid from boiling. Titanium as a material, has low
thermal conductivity. This means that it is very bad at transferring
heat. When a thin titanium shim placed between the pad back and the
pistons, the braking heat is kept from transferring into the pistons and
fluid. For cars that are going to see hard or multiple track days,
these shims are a good protection from loosing the pedal pressure due to
boiling brake fluid. Water jet cut to exact size, no cutting or grinding
involved.
Key Features & Benefits
- Direct Replacement: The GiroDisc 2-piece rotor system is a direct replacement for the OE rotor, no modifications are necessary.
- Lightweight Design: The average Girodisc 2-piece rotor is approx 2kg lighter per rotor than the stock units.
- Cost-Effective Maintenance: Once the Girodisc system is in place, simply replace the cast iron rotor ring when needed.
- Performance Gains: Reduction in rotational and unsprung weight allows for quicker acceleration and suspension response.
