Civic Cup Control Brake Pads. Over the close season Civic Cup have been eagerly testing brake pad compounds with a view to control this area of the car to make the championship even more competitive. The new ‘control’ pads are a trackday/race only compound. They have a working temperature range from 200°C up to 925°C. The pads are supplied ‘pre-scorched’ meaning they are semi bedded in compared to regular brake pads. It is advised that a minimal bedding procedure is done – two laps at moderate speed is advised, followed by a further two using heavier braking then allow to cool. Trackday/Race use only – not suitable for road cars.
