Past month left us with a lot of changes for the ITR project. Let’s get started with some more interior upgrades. A few products were waiting at the storage, so let’s see what’s on.
Continuing the session 2 of the past #3 Interior mods, it was finally time to finish the interior apperance.
As said at the beginning of the project description, the car is DAILY. Not just a show car build or a race car. So once going for a ride, as normally you will need your radio on to listen to your favorite music. Seeking for just a better quality system, a quick change of the radio player – speaker and cables was needed.
We use a brand new Sony Xplod with usd operation. Very nice unit, slim and compact and more than half the weight of the previous unit.

Check size comparison. Nice and slim

Powered and working smooth!

The rest changes were the rear speaker and a reconnection of the cables. The whole unit is now as good as needed, producing quality sound.
Moving on, once you sit on the car you need to put your foot into the pedals and grab the steering wheel. The oem pedals and steering are not that kind of attractive (rather than the oem jdm 98spec steering ).
Started by replacing the pedals with a nice grippy and shiny set of Mugen sport pedals

Fitted now looks great and it’s a very common product on most Honda builds.

Next move was the steering wheel. If you need quality on your hands, you have to stay with the top brands on the market. Nardi-Personal has been developing the highest quality steering wheels for many years. Used in all forums of motorsport. In 1988-1991 Ayrton Senna used Personal for his Mclaren Honda.
For our project we choose the Personal neo grinta 350mm leather.

Quick release system, fancy and practical.

Fitted. Just perfect match

Last little replace on the interior was the ITR vin tag with the serial number at the handbrake console of the car. Other than it’s the original serial number, it was not in great shape. Faded, scratched.

For that reason we secured a original JDM 98spec .

Simple remove the old one and the new one on. Spotted!

Look how precise and well taken care is the in view now.

Stand by, we are almost a step before we hit the road. Massive upgrades and changes on suspension and chassis setup and of curse you are going to see what’s under the bonnet.
