MTS Technik Coilover Suspension Comfort / Inox – Honda Civic (EG/EK) (XMTSGWHO01-C)
Product Overview
The MTS Technik Comfort Series Inox Coilover Kit (XMTSGWHO01-C) is a premium, height-adjustable suspension network explicitly valved for enthusiasts who prioritize premium ride quality and daily usability over track-level rigidity. Available at JDMaster.net, the Comfort Series replaces tired original components with shortened stainless steel dampers precisely matched with compliant Eibach performance springs. This combination completely eliminates unsightly factory wheel gap while preserving smooth daily road mannerisms for your daily commute or weekend cruiser.
Key Features & Benefits
-
Comfort Series Tuning: Engineered intentionally with softer, more compliant internal damping curves and progressive spring configurations compared to standard configurations. It absorbs harsh road expansion joints and pothole impacts cleanly while maintaining composed vehicle control.
-
Inox Stainless Steel Struts: Built with high-grade stainless steel shock housings for elite, permanent corrosion protection. The adjustable sleeves resist road salt, mud, and water, ensuring your ride-height alignment setup adjustments spin freely years down the line.
-
Performance Springs by Eibach Germany: Pre-assembled with custom-wound main and linear helper springs manufactured out of high-tensile steel by Eibach. These springs eliminate sag, maintain consistent seat preload, and offer a supple ride that resists settling over time.
-
Patented anti-seize hexaCOIL Perches: Utilizes an innovative single hexagonal composite spring collar. The design naturally channels road grit and dirt away from the threads during manual ride height adjustment, preventing the frozen or completely seized collars common to legacy metal dual-locking setups.
-
Twin-Tube Gas-Oil Infrastructure: Low-pressure nitrogen gas actively compresses the hydraulic fluid reservoir to eliminate internal fluid cavitation and foaming during high-frequency piston movements, delivering reliable, predictable damping force over uneven roads.
-
Versatile Lowering Spectrum: Fine-tune your classic Honda’s road presence with an adjustable ride height spectrum of 30–80mm on the front axle and 20–70mm on the rear axle to perfectly level out your wheel arches.
-
High-Density Polyurethane (PUR) Bump Stops: Advanced progressive bump stops cleanly cushion deep suspension compression strokes, safeguarding internal valving elements and keeping cabin ride comfort smooth.

⚠️ Important Rear Control Arm Warning: This kit utilizes a rear fork-type connection. It will not mount onto models equipped with rear eye-type lower shock mounts (such as certain UK/European market Civic models or JDM Integra DC2 Type R variants) unless the rear lower control arms are converted to the standard fork-style design.
The Mechanical Advantage: Smooth Compliance for the Multi-Link Layout
The EG and EK Civic chassis utilize a sophisticated 4-wheel double-wishbone suspension system. While this architecture yields incredible geometric mechanical grip, it operates within relatively tight vertical suspension travel clearances. When lowering these cars on standard sports springs or overly stiff coilovers, the ride quality frequently degrades into a bumpy, jarring experience that rattles interior plastics and leads to suspension binding.
The MTS Technik Comfort Series solves this classic platform issue. By utilizing shortened, short-stroke twin-tube gas shocks valved intentionally for daily road compliance, the dampers absorb energy smoothly through their travel range. Backed by dedicated helper springs on both axles to ensure constant spring preload at lower ride heights, this kit flattens out cornering roll while delivering a supple, smooth, and predictable ride across rough street asphalt.
Professional Installation & Alignment Advice
Clearances & Post-Install Alignment: Dropping your ride height changes your alignment tracking, static camber angles, and toe layout on the double-wishbone suspension network. A professional 4-wheel laser alignment is strictly mandatory immediately following installation to ensure straight-line tracking stability and protect your performance tires from uneven wear.
Due to the performance profile of aftermarket coilover springs relative to thin factory struts, a minimum clearance gap of 5mm must be verified between the inner wheel rim/tire sidewall and the coilover body. If you are running high-offset original wheels or aggressive aftermarket wheel fitments that drop below this 5mm threshold, high-quality hub-centric wheel spacers are required. Plan your build cleanly by booking an installation appointment at our fully equipped JDMaster.net workshop.
