MTS Technik Coilover Suspension Street / Inox – Mazda 3 BL

MTS Technik Coilover Suspension Street / Inox – Mazda 3 BL (XMTSGWMA05)

Product Overview

The MTS Technik Street Series Inox Coilover Kit (XMTSGWMA05) is a  height-adjustable suspension network specifically engineered for the 2008–2014 Mazda 3. Available globally at JDMaster.net, the Street Series serves as the ultimate all-around suspension upgrade. MTS Technik engineers meticulously balanced daily driving compliance with sports performance—eliminating excess chassis slack and floatiness without subjecting you to an unforgiving, teeth-chattering ride on rough asphalt.

Key Features & Benefits

• Balanced Street Series Valving: The definitive default configuration from MTS Technik, optimized to control heavy side-to-side body lean during aggressive slalom maneuvers while retaining full daily commuting comfort.

• Premium Inox Stainless Steel Struts: Built with advanced stainless steel shock housings for absolute protection against harsh road salt, water, and debris, ensuring height-adjustment threads stay clean and spin easily for years to come.

• Track-Tested Springs by Eibach Germany: Equipped with custom-wound sport springs designed by Eibach using high-tensile steel alloys, guaranteeing exact spring rates and preventing sag under extreme compression loads.

• Patented anti-seize hexaCOIL Perches: Features an innovative single hexagonal composite spring collar that naturally channels away dirt and grit from the threads, putting an end to the frozen or seized rings common on legacy dual-locking metal setups.

• Twin-Tube Gas-Oil Architecture: Low-pressure nitrogen gas actively compresses the hydraulic fluid reservoir to eliminate fluid cavitation and oil foaming during high-frequency piston cycles.

• Wide Lowering Thresholds: Take total command of your stance with a lowering spectrum of 30–60mm on the front axle and 40–75mm on the rear axle, allowing you to settle the center of gravity and flush out your wheel fitment.

• High-Durability Polyurethane Bump Stops: Progressive PUR bump stops absorb extreme impacts smoothly and protect internal damping elements far better than deteriorating factory rubber units.

Technical Specifications

Applications

Mazda 3 Hatchback & Saloon/Sedan (BL Chassis)

• Production Years: 12/2008 – 09/2014

• Engine Variants: 1.6 MZR, 1.6 MZ-CD / MZR-CD, 2.0 MZR, 2.0 DISI / MZR DISI, 2.2 MZR CD, and 2.3 MPS Turbo (Mazdaspeed 3 Gen 2)

• Drive Configuration: Front-Wheel Drive (FWD)

The Mechanical Advantage: Taming the Heavy Front End

The second-generation Mazda 3 features a highly responsive MacPherson strut front layout paired with a multi-link rear suspension. However, higher-torque variants—such as the 2.2 MZR diesel and the turbocharged 2.3 MPS—carry substantial weight over the nose, which can lead to front-end dive under heavy braking and understeer when entering tight corners.

The MTS Technik Street Series addresses this front-heavy characteristic directly. By pairing a stout 60 N/mm front main spring with an integrated 20 N/mm helper spring, the kit ensures the front suspension remains under constant preload even during quick weight transitions or sudden crests. This setup minimizes front axle lift under hard acceleration, plants the front tires firmly through apexes, and completely removes the floating feel associated with generic lowering springs on factory dampers.

Professional Installation & Alignment Advice

Clearances & Post-Install Alignment: Altering your vehicle’s factory ride height changes tracking, camber, and toe curves. A professional 4-wheel laser alignment is strictly mandatory immediately following installation to ensure optimal tire wear and stable straight-line tracking.

Due to the wider barrel profile of aftermarket coilover springs, a minimum clearance gap of 5mm must be maintained between the inner wheel barrel/tire sidewall and the coilover body. If you are running high-offset or aggressive custom aftermarket wheels that reduce this gap below 5mm, high-quality hub-centric wheel spacers are required. Ensure a flawless installation by scheduling an appointment at our fully equipped JDMaster.net workshop.
