Product Overview
The Doctronic ProECU-K Sensors & PNP Cable Kits are designed for customers who want to add extra monitoring capability to their ProECU-K engine management system.
These sensors are ideal for Honda K-Series, D-Series, S2000, K-swap, turbo and track-focused builds where accurate engine data is important for tuning, diagnostics and engine protection.
Each sensor package is supplied together with the correct PNP cable or adapter cable for use with the Expansion Box, making the installation cleaner and easier compared to building custom wiring from scratch.
For serious performance builds, additional sensors are not only useful for tuning. They also help the driver and tuner understand what the engine is doing under real load conditions, especially during fast road driving, trackdays, time attack sessions and turbo applications.
What the Sensor Packages Do
The Doctronic sensor kits allow the ProECU-K system to monitor additional engine parameters such as intake air temperature, fluid temperature, fluid pressure, exhaust gas temperature and manifold pressure.
Depending on the selected sensor, these values can be used for datalogging, diagnostics, calibration review and engine safety strategies.
When used together with the Doctronic Expansion Box, external sensors can be connected to the ProECU-K system and configured inside the software.

- K-Series PNP 4 Bar MAP Sensor: Plug-and-play 4 Bar MAP sensor for K-Series applications that require a higher manifold pressure measurement range than the factory sensor can provide.
Why Add External Sensors?
A performance ECU setup is much more effective when it has access to the right data.
On modified engines, especially turbocharged or track-driven setups, the factory sensor package is often not enough. Extra sensor information allows the tuner to see what is happening with oil pressure, fuel pressure, oil temperature, intake temperature, exhaust temperature and boost pressure.

- Open Element IAT Sensor + Adapter Cable
The open element IAT sensor is used to measure intake air temperature more accurately in custom intake or boosted applications.
It is especially useful when the factory IAT sensor location is no longer suitable due to intake manifold changes, turbo piping, intercooler routing or custom engine conversion work. - Fluid Temperature Sensor + PNP Cable
The fluid temperature sensor is suitable for monitoring oil temperature, coolant temperature or other fluid temperature points depending on installation.

Why Sensor Data Matters
- When tuning a modified engine, the ECU needs accurate information.
- Fuel and ignition maps are only part of the setup. To make a performance engine safer and more reliable, the tuner needs to see how the engine behaves under load, heat and pressure.

Installation Requirements
Professional installation is recommended.
Sensors must be installed in the correct mechanical location and wired to the correct ECU or Expansion Box input.
After installation, each sensor must be configured correctly inside the ProECU-K software. Sensor scaling, pull-up resistor values where required, input assignment and datalogging channels should all be checked before the car is driven hard.
For temperature sensors using thermistor-style output, the correct pull-up resistor must be used.
For pressure sensors, the correct 5V supply, ground and signal wiring must be confirmed.
For turbo or track applications, sensor installation should be tested and verified during the tuning process.
